Our Mission
We are built different. At Las Vegas Beach Volleyball we teach the most successful training methods currently used around the globe. Our mission is to educate athletes in beach volleyball skills and strategies while prioritizing injury prevention and sports nutrition as foundational coaching pillars.

Samantha Lane
Owner & Head Coach
Southern California native with over 10 years of beach volleyball coaching experience. Played outside hitter at Cal Poly Pomona (2006-2009) and earned an AAA CBVA rating. Holds a Kinesiology degree from UNLV (2011). Previously coached at Bishop Gorman, served as strength and conditioning coach at College of Southern Nevada, and directed the AVP Academy Las Vegas.
Cali Thompson
Coach
Las Vegas native. Played beach and indoor volleyball at University of Portland (three seasons, 3,658 assists). UCLA indoor player. Professional experience in Brazil and Portugal. Former Assistant Coach at University of Denver Women's D1 volleyball (2023-2024).

Experienced beach volleyball coach contributing to the club's training programs.
Christine Zalonka
Coach
Originally from Iowa, relocated to Las Vegas in 2011. Transitioned from indoor to beach volleyball and has competed in beach and grass tournaments across the country, including the MotherLode Classic in Aspen, Seaside in Oregon, and CBVA events throughout Southern California. Has coached both indoor club and beach volleyball for athletes ages 8 through high school. Holds a B.S. in Finance from Iowa State University and an MBA from Drake University, with 27+ years in financial services and legal leadership roles.
Angelo Guinasso
Coach
35+ years volleyball experience. California-raised beach player now in Las Vegas. Coached youth and high school at Huntington Beach High School. Coached daughter Gianna to a U16 AAA National Beach Championship; she is currently ranked No. 1 Women's AAA CBVA player.
Traci Callahan
Founder
Concordia University Irvine graduate. 2005 NCAA Freshman of the Year, First Team All-American each season, 2009 Female Athlete of the Year. Won 2010 ABC "Battle of the Beach". Competed professionally 2012-2018, coached at Florida State (2015). Founded Las Vegas Beach Volleyball Club in 2023.

Seasonal Coach
Plays Division I beach volleyball at Boise State University. Grew up competing at Sunset Park in Las Vegas. Coaching experience in Vegas and Boise, mentoring athletes in skill development and game understanding.
Ellie Kore
Seasonal Coach
Eight-year volleyball player. Recruited for beach volleyball during her junior-senior summer. Currently competes Division I beach volleyball at Houston Christian University.
Emma Neville
Seasonal Coach
Division I beach volleyball player at California State University, Bakersfield. Kinesiology major. Played indoor since age 12, transitioned to full-time beach senior year of high school. Coached 12U athletes with Tstreet Las Vegas.
